In FY24, Mahindra Susten has won 6 projects with a total capacity of ~2000 MWac with GUVNL, RUVNL, NHPC, SJVN, NTPC, and an Open Access Hybrid Project with the M&M Group. OTPP (Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan) invested as a strategic partner in Mahindra Susten, which will accelerate the expansion of the Susten renewable asset platform. Both partners are aligned to grow the Susten portfolio to 7 GWp+ and are committed to developing projects involving the latest technologies such as Wind, Hybrid, Integrated Power Storage, RTC, etc.
Since the incorporation of Mahindra Susten in 2010, the company has been a first mover in adopting advanced technologies in renewables and has developed mega-size projects including one of the largest bifacial module plants in operation and India’s first integrated town project at Modhera with a battery size of 19 MWh.

Since 2010, Susten has developed over 4.2 GWp of projects, including 1.6 GWp of self-developed IPP projects. With strategic investment from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Susten is poised to scale its portfolio to 7 GWp+, leveraging advanced technologies such as wind, hybrid, integrated storage, and RTC solutions.
Lead legal strategies and operations for renewable energy projects, ensuring excellence in contract management and effective mitigation of contractual risks. Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements such as EPCs, PPAs, PDAs, O&M contracts, and procurement agreements for major equipment (solar panels, wind turbine generators, etc.), while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Drive strategic initiatives including M&A, JVs, and MoUs, and manage related documentation such as Share Purchase Agreements (SPA), Shareholders’ Agreements (SHA), Business Transfer Agreements (BTA), Asset Purchase Agreements, Escrow Agreements, Investment Agreements, Subscription Agreements, and NDAs, safeguarding the company’s interests across all transactions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage and mitigate contractual risks, resolve disputes, and provide comprehensive legal support throughout the project lifecycle. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector.
