During the last decade Mahindra Susten has developed the projects of size 4.2 GWp+ including self-development of IPP projects of size 1.6 GWp across India.

Position Summary

The Head of Electrical Design & Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving all electrical design and engineering activities for renewable energy projects within the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and grid integration specific to renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, hybrid and energy storage. This leader will ensure the delivery of innovative, high-quality electrical designs while leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Electrical Design & Engineering:

    • Oversee the design, development, and optimization of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, such          as solar, wind, hybrid and energy storage systems.

    • Direct the development of electrical system designs including power distribution, protection schemes,                      electrical controls, grid integration, and energy storage.

    •  Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, CBIP, CEA,          etc.).

    •  Review and approve electrical design documents, including electrical drawings, specifications, and system                 integration plans.

    •  Conduct Energy yield assessment for solar projects.

    •  Conduct power analysis, load flow, fault analysis, and reliability studies to ensure optimal design performance         and safety.

Leadership & Team Management:

     •  Lead and manage the electrical design and engineering team to ensure the successful execution of all                      renewable energy projects.

     •  Develop and implement engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices to optimize efficiency,                quality, and safety.

     •  Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development to engineers and designers, building a high-                performance team.

Education Qualification/Experience:
