With lowering tariffs, the O&M of the plant can determine the overall profitability of the plant and can impact the project IRRs significantly.

The Mahindra Susten O&M team has over 160 members maintaining assets across 104 locations across India. Our approach is to focus on maximising plant useful life and generation maximisation.

The performance of our portfolio, over 1.8GW utility scale solar PV projects across India and a plant uptime consistently above 99.5% across portfolio for last 5 years is a testament to our expertise and commitment.

    Critical spares have been clustered around major sites to optimise their utilisation. Detailed breakdown impact analysis of sites is deployed to prepare a priority matrix for the spares. This further adds to reducing the plant downtime.

    As faults are detected, urgent care is given to repair, restore or replace the defective devices. The skilled application of corrective maintenance not only solves the immediate problem, but avoids a range of costly system failures. The team is trained through continual trainings across equipment and vendor SLAs are maintained to ensure minimum downtime.

    As a part of community development, we help the local community find the meaningful livelihood by training them. Our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015) acts as a guiding principle to take up such initiatives. To communicate our efforts, we are following GRI G4 reporting guidelines. We report over 50 indicators across all sites both under project & O&M phase. In our endeavour to attain global benchmarks, we continuously monitor and improve our economic, environmental and social indicators through community engagement.

    At Susten, safety is a priority and hence ‘near misses’ are being monitored closely with 5 levels of control exercised to maximize employee safety. O&M has achieved 3 million safe man hours since 2011, contributing to OHSAS 18001:2007 certification in Occupational Health & Safety.

The MSCC team comprises of 6 members and keeps a proactive watch on the plant performance 12x7, keeping the owners up to date through effective reporting. The in – depth analysis helps owners to monitor their assets with ease.

Located at the Susten O&M head office in Mumbai, the centre is equipped with solarpulse, which allows the analysts to monitor the KPIs and plant performance real time and at their maximum efficiency. The centre is run by a team of solar pv plant experts, who empower the site based O&M teams through quick detection and remote trouble shooting of any problems with respect to under-performance or downtime.

PV Plant Health Diagnosis & Field Testing - Mahindra Susten

PV Plant Health Diagnosis and
Field Testing

The Analytics team provides PV plant health check-ups and field testing services to existing plants which can help the owners identify and validate the under-performance issues.

This expert team is assigned on-site and is equipped with specialised tools like IR camera, Power Analyser, Thermo graphic camera- hand held and drone based which are used to validate the site under-performances.

Our O&M team also conducts complete PV Module testing on site with India's first Mobile PV test lab which is capable of performing EL and flash Test to check module healthiness at site.
