Mahindra Susten is the 'Cleantech' arm of the Mahindra & Mahindra Group and offers diversified services within the renewables space. Mahindra Susten has been powering green energy for the nation since 2010. During the last decade, Mahindra Susten has developed projects of 4.2 GWp+, including self-development of IPP projects of 1.6 GWp across India.

In FY24, Mahindra Susten has won 6 projects with a total capacity of ~2000 MWac with GUVNL, RUVNL, NHPC, SJVN, NTPC, and an Open Access Hybrid Project with the M&M Group. Susten has a vision to expand its footprint and market share in India’s renewable energy space as an IPP and self-EPC by 5x in the coming years.

OTPP (Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan) invested as a strategic partner in Mahindra Susten, which will accelerate the expansion of the Susten renewable asset platform. Both partners are aligned to grow the Susten portfolio to 7 GWp+ and are committed to developing projects involving the latest technologies such as Wind, Hybrid, Integrated Power Storage, RTC, etc.

Since the incorporation of Mahindra Susten in 2010, the company has been a first mover in adopting advanced technologies in renewables and has developed mega-size projects including one of the largest bifacial module plants in operation and India’s first integrated town project at Modhera with a battery size of 19 MWh.

Position Summary:

The role involves managing multiple teams and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This role focuses on optimizing project performance, mentoring project managers, and driving innovation to achieve successful, scalable project outcomes.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Designs and optimizes EHV switchyards and transmission lines for all projects.
• Prepares switchyard layout, SLD, EKD, cable schedule, cable trench layout, etc.
• Prepares technical specifications for power transformers, PT, LA, BPI, isolators, CRP, SAS, PLCC, FOTE system, battery and auxiliary systems, SVG, and harmonic filters.
• Performs system calculations for earthing, DSLP, conductor sizing, sag tension, and short-circuit forces.
• Reviews technical specifications and coordinates for purchase requisitions.
• Understands grid code compliances and prepares required documents for reactive power study, power quality study, steady-state and dynamic studies in PSS/E & PSCAD.
• Reviews design documents and engineering drawings.
• Collaborates with project managers and other engineers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Conducts site visits to support system integration and troubleshooting.
